July was quite a month for me and my relationship with I-65. Despite having just seen most all of you at the user summit in June, I’ve been out and about more this month than I have in my history at Solid Earth. This is an exciting time for all of us and we have much to discuss and consider as we invent the next generation of MLS technology together. So, me and the trusty Honda (and several podcasts) blazed the trail on that famous asphalt corridor that links Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana.
Since July 8th, I’ve been in 6 client locations and covered 2100 miles, including 1270 miles in just the past 3 days.
Quite a fruitful journey. I learned that not all water-front hotels are created equal in Destin, decided that I’m not made for CrossFit in Pensacola, solved the mystery of guacamole with Lisa Stephenson in Louisville and ate the best gumbo I’ve ever tasted in Mobile with Jeff Newman. Best of all, Solid Earth confirmed a 3 year contract renewal with both Louisville and Mobile. Thanks to everyone for their hospitality and thank you Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky Departments of Transportation for keeping your roads and highways clean and safe.
For those reading this wondering when you’ll see a Solid Earthling… we’re on our way.
